Medical Escort and Transport
If you require medical escort and transport from any country we will get you back home to the UK. We offer worldwide repatriations with fully equipped air ambulance and medical staff.
For over 25 years, our medical repatriations team have worked extremely hard to perfect our rapid and trustworthy services. We specialise in assisting people who travel without medical insurance, and provide our services anywhere, worldwide; even areas that are sparsely-populated and hard to access.
We have specific staff members that are multilingual, and can, therefore, liaise with embassies and other healthcare workers from the country that your incident was in. This also prevents the challenges of customs and immigration officers, as we handle all that for you.
We organise the entire journey to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible, and so patients and their families don't have to worry about anything. We understand that having a medical emergency or incident abroad can be scary, which is why our professional services are there to provide comfort, support, quick response and a friendly team.
Our Medical Escort Service
Medical escorts are usually used in circumstances that aren't critical and are professionally qualified medics. Their job is to ensure that patients are comfortable, safe and have everything they need, including food, drink, medicines and any necessary medical equipment. They can also administer pain relief if the patient requires it.
For the duration of the patient's journey home, the medical escort will accompany them, to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible, and the experience is stress-free. Depending on the circumstances, the medical escort service could be a group of medics accompanying the patient or just a singular medic.
Due to the non-emergency nature of these incidents, it's unnecessary for the patient to be transported back home via private planes, which is why the medical escort service is put into place. The patient is able to travel home on a public plane, with the safety of a qualified medic to accompany them throughout the entire process.
Our Transport Service
We organise any necessary ground transportation that you will require, to ensure there are no problems within the journey. This includes ground ambulances and taxis from the airport to the hospital, or anywhere else you need to go. We can transport you to any destination worldwide, even locations that are hard to access.
Part of our service also provides assistance with hospital administration for your return to the UK. Hospital admissions ensure you have a bed when you arrive at the hospital, and will also reduce the waiting time for you and your family. We will also pass on the full medical evaluations we get from the healthcare workers where you had the incident.
We also offer stretcher transfers, which are usually necessary when the patient must travel lying down. We install the stretcher onto the plane and transport you to the plane via a ground ambulance.
Frequently Asked Questions

How do you know if the patient is well enough to get on the aircraft?
Our qualified medics will do a full evaluation to ensure the patient is able to fly safely. We will also read over the patients medical records, and have precautions in place in the cases they may not be able to fly.
What if the health care clinic abroad doesn't pass on our evaluation notes?
It would be illegal for the health care clinic, in the location you had your incident, to not hand over medical evaluation notes. However, we would handle these types of problems for you.
Do you require any documents from the patient?
Yes, we require medical records from the patient so that we can find out about any pre-existing medical conditions, and the contact information of the patients GP surgery.
